New Year’s Eve, Savannah Style

The Lady and Sons

Is this your night to dine at The Lady and Sons?

There is much to experience in Savannah any day of the year, but New Year’s Eve is a particularly good time to visit this city and stay in a luxury Savannah vacation rental. As of this writing, we still have availability at the O’Connor House and part of 109 West.

New Year’s is one of the few nights of the year when it is possible for small parties to make a reservation at The Lady and Sons, the restaurant owned by Paula Deen and her two sons, Jaimie and Bobby. Take advantage of it! For an elegant, old-world dining experience, try The Olde Pink House. A fireplace and antiques adorn every dining room in this National Historic Landmark from 1771. Once you’ve enjoyed your dinner, move over to the Planters Tavern for live music.

Cha Bella is a short walk from the luxury Savannah Vacation rentals on East Broughton. It won the 2009 “Best Overall Restaurant and Best Downtown Restaurant” in the Best of Savannah contest. Thanks to an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients (many of which are grown at their own three-acre vegetable farm) and a commitment to creative dishes, your meal is sure to be unforgettable.

Should you decide to stay in the Garden Suite or Carriage House of our luxury vacation rental at 109 West Liberty Street, walk around the corner to the Six Pence Pub and start your evening with a pint of Guinness. Also close by is Noble Fare, a restaurant dedicated to the art of good eating; on New Year’s Eve, Noble Fare is serving a special prix fixe five course dinner.

Dinner is just the start. Listen to live music at the Historic Savannah Theatre or the Live Wire Music Hall. The dance party at Sugar Daddy’s Food and Wine Bar starts at 10 p.m., and there will be hors d’oeuvres and a Champagne toast at the Seed Eco Lounge. Enjoy great views, great food and great music during a New Year’s Eve Gala Riverboat Cruise.

You may find that after a good dinner and a walk around the festively decorated historic district, you may simply want to return to your luxury vacation rental Savannah and welcome the New Year with your sweetie. It’s a good option.
