The 2014 Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights features well over 80 holiday displays on the Hutchinson Island Road Course that you can walk, drive, or ride through at your own pace. Frosty, Rudolph, Santa and his elves, and many other familiar faces will be there, along with some surprises, and that’s not all!
After you’ve toured the Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights, don’t leave – there’s more! The Savannah Harbor Riverfront Esplanade will be offering rides lots of Christmas fun throughout the life of the Festival of Lights. You can climb aboard a Ferris Wheel or other carnival rides, warm yourself at the nightly bonfires while enjoying delicious treats such as candy canes, cookies, hot chocolate and s’mores! Yum!
Special, Christmas-themed programs are planned for every weekend, too! Those able to be on hand at the opening ceremony on November 29th, for example, will get a fun treat in the form of the Savannah Harbor Boat Parade of Lights, featuring Santa’s arrival and kicking off of the Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights by flipping the big switch!
The best part? The Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights is a production of the Savannah Harbor Foundation, a non-profit children’s charity. Working in conjunction with various other, local charitable organizations, they’ve made the Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights a reality that entertains thousands and then gives back. The 2013 Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights provided over $30,000 to local charities! This beautiful and fun-filled Christmas attraction is also a good cause!
So come one come all to the 2014 Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights and enjoy an interactive holiday experience of sight and sound for the entire family!
