Crawl of the South II

If you enjoy nightlife, Savannah, and potentially making history, then you’ll want to be a part of The Crawl of the South Part II: Savannah’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Bar Crawl in the World – scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, 2015.

While it is true that being awarded “The Largest Bar Crawl in the World” could be seen as a bit of a dubious honor, it also sounds like an awful lot of fun! The proof of this statement could be found in the fact that this is not Savannah’s second attempt to break the record. I mean, if it was no fun, would they be trying it again?

The current record for “Most People On A Pub Crawl”, held by Crawl For Cancer out of Kansas City, was set on June 1st, 2013 by 4,885 participants who visited 10 pubs in Kansas City, Missouri’s Power and Light District. Twenty one bars participated in the crawl, serving more than 4,635 gallons of beer (which, if you do the math, would indicate that everyone involved drank just under … one gallon of beer? I smell another world record …).

Savannah’s own Stafford Promotions and Bar Crawl Savannah organized Crawl of the South and are both convinced and determined that this second attempt will be successful – and you can help!

The event is set to kick off at Savannah’s Ellis Square on Saturday, May 30th at 2pm. Crawl of the South attendees must be must be 21 or over and need to purchase and consume a 4.4oz or larger beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) at 10 different bars between 2pm and 10pm on the 30th. With 30 participating bars offering drink specials to choose from and an exclusive after party on Savannah’s historic River Street featuring live entertainment, t-shirts and other Crawl of the South related memorabilia, and proceeds benefiting local non-profit organizations, why wouldn’t you participate?
